ISFP - Quiet, Sensitive, Friendly, Harmonious
Introvert - Sensing - Feeling - Perceiving
ISFPs are quiet, friendly, action oriented, and caring. They enjoy and experience the present moment. They need their own time and space. Personal values are important and used to make decisions. They are good and sensitive listeners and avoid conflict.
Most Developed Skill
Introvert Sensate Feeling Perceiving's strongest drive is to make decisions based on personal values. They are quiet, sensitive, accepting and caring about values and people. Communicating feelings is not a strong point so they often don't express them at all. They can sometimes turn feelings in on themselves.
Strengths
Their strengths lie in their ability to seize opportunities, take action and risk. They improvise well to make things happen. They are good at crisis management of practical problems. Loyalty and commitment is strong.
Skills
Because ISFPs dominant skill is in sensing, they often develop excellent visual, auditory, gustatory, olfactory or kinesthetic/motor abilities.
Weaknesses
Possible weaknesses in this Meta Program set can lead to irresponsible, childish, unreliable behavior. The sensing perceiving combination can often act with thinking things through. On the other hand, conflict avoidance can undermine the ability to take action.
Stress Response
Under stress, the Meta Program set can result in irritable, oversensitive, unreliable, unscrupulous, mercenary or rigid behavior.
Typical Expression
Even though they aren't master communicators, their conversation is warm, gentle, realistic and easy.
Values
ISFPs value details about people as a way to care for and nurture relationships.
Need
Their highest need is for autonomy, variety and action. Procedures, structure and repetition will not sit well with them.
Learning
The Sensing Perceiving combination learns best experientially. Abstractions and theories seem complicated and tedious. They need to live their experiences, not talk about them. They are good at hands on skill development - honing skills through practice.
Least Developed Skills
The least developed Meta Program choice is thinking. When put in positions where thinking is required the lack of proficiency can show itself as an obsession with being right, a drive to analyze, find alternatives and evaluate them. Their discomfort with thinking can lead to seeing others as incompetent, being dictatorial, and engaging in black/white thinking. Communication using intuition (meanings, implications) is not well developed.
